The export ratio is currently above 80%, and they do not see significant potential in the domestic market. In this international environment, we have successfully created a strong digital footprint, which now has self-sustaining branches as well.

Balázs, our company’s founder and the owner of SIC, had been discussing since the early 2010s how industrial products could be sold in the digital space. This plan finally took shape in 2016 with the development of a professional website, which Balázs created with his previous team—before working under the banner of Industrial Marketing.

SIC’s primary goal from the beginning was to tap into export markets. The export ratio remains above 80%, and they do not see much potential in the domestic market. Although their website is also available in Hungarian and provides valuable information, the primary objective was to ensure its clarity and effectiveness for international audiences.

Even a simple, low-budget website can attract customers

Initially, SIC’s digital investment was minimal. Their first website, though simplistic and low-budget, still generated valuable international leads, thanks to search engine optimization. However, without a structured strategy, it was difficult to determine which search terms drove results or how to optimize the process.

After a strong market signal, though, take the website seriously

With the new website, SIC essentially rebuilt its digital presence, both in content and technical execution. This high-quality website marked a major milestone for SIC and for Industrial Marketing.

Balázs understood that while a strong digital foundation was essential, a website alone wouldn’t guarantee business success. In 2017, we proposed creating a specialized marketing team for industrial manufacturers to help businesses tap into digital opportunities. With SIC’s great landing page already in place, the next step was to drive traffic to it.

We launched a YouTube video campaign, made website optimizations, produced professional photos, and regularly published blog content. This led to significant results, with the 2019 ad reaching over 28,000 views and the brand video over 20,000.

Through our collaboration, SIC’s digital presence grew, and over the years, we tested which strategies worked best in international markets. Today, thanks to ongoing SEO efforts, quote requests are now arriving in an organized, efficient manner.

One of the most difficult aspects of SIC’s digital transformation was translating highly technical manufacturing processes into clear and engaging content. For industrial buyers, it’s not enough to understand what a company does, they need to see how the technology solves their problems.

We designed visual representations to highlight the benefits of SIC’s logistics and technological processes. These ensure that potential customers receive the necessary technical insights even before submitting a quote request.
